Mysterious Shaped UFO Captured Again On Film

Mysterious Shaped UFO Captured Again On Film
Keep your eye in the sky for these mysterious objects. UFO's???

I'm Backkkkkkkkkk

Happy Easter to everyone...hope Sum Bunny loves ya and brings you lots of Easter goodies! Tomorrow everyone comes, and I am so excited! We will colour eggs, play Nosica Nosica and eat like little piglets. I am cooking a ham and making scallopped potatoes and having a few salads and fresh beans and fresh aspargus. We'll have pie and ice-cream for desert. If it is decent out, we'll try for a bonfire at the beach, and if not, we'll just have to roll around in the hot-tub! I had a busy time over at E's mom's place...sure is hard to go there and remember all the good perogy feeds Annie made for us. We did some clean up and watered every plant outside for the whole two days. It is as dry as a dust around there...an indicator of what our summer will be like, I suppose. It was a shame to see the trees struggling for survival, when E's mom used to have everything groomed and wartered and looking good. I trimmed up a clematis and could have spent half a day just in the front yard...but never had the time.
Stan and Ali, and Bro J. all came last night for dinner and overnight. Nice to see everyone again, and Ali brought me a bag of her special home made chocolates...very yummy and an especially cute one for E. , in the shape of a fish!
I made it back home around 4:30 and unloaded my groceries and put those away, then met up with A. & K and had a little visit on the beach in the setting sun. K. feeds a pair of mallards every night, so they came waddling up for their dinner of bread. Silk kept a close eye on them, and would have beat them to the bread if I had of let her go!
Time for tea and early to bed...I still have a lot to do tomorrow before everyone arrives. Happy Easter! C.U Monday!

No Auroras..only cloud...

Confirmed with another look upwards. It is pitch black and narry a star or anything in site...boo-hoo.
So only a daffed person would clean their oven then bake pies..I even scrubbed down the racks till they shone again...
However, I have three pies and a half dozen samples in the shape of some kind of tart. I just ate three ( they were small) and although satisfying, they weren't great...not enuf apple filling in each ( dough piece too tiny) and I forgot to decorate them with a little cream and a sprinkle of sugar as I do to the pies. That can make em or break em , I guess! I made two apple pies ...one with cinnamon and one without, and one strawberry rhubarb from frozen fruit. ...more strawberry than rhubarb, but both equally good at boiling out of the pie shell!
i talked to S in Vict. today and she is sicker than a dog with a horrible sore throat...poor kid...she stayed home from work tonight. I hope she is well enuf to sing in her spring concert...since I am planning to go down for it later in the month.
well, it is past midnight and E. is in bed counting easter bunnies!
We did a wing night at Dockers as they had wings and jugs of Wild Honey Ale on. Their dry garlic salty wings were delicious! I'll have to try to figure that recipe out. E. had to order ten more of the little guys!

Thank-you to C. from E

Look up Tonight

If you are out and about tonight, take a boo up in the sky, Spaceweather is announcing a strong possibility for auroras tonight...I love it when it happens around here...but it is usually after ten at night.
I have already had my laugh for the day...just after I saw the coyote streaking through the front yard. Good thing little Silk was indoors after her morning pee! Anyhoo, all this honking and beeping started to happen ( maybe from the fear of the coyote), and I looked out to see what Ma and Pa Goose were up to.

Here is where they were:

Yep, they had landed on the dinkus neighbour's pointy roof peak! I hadn't really ever seen them up there so I had to laugh...maybe they were contemplating a higher nest this year, like the geese in Stanley Park!...clear up in the evergreeens about 75 feet in the air. Here, they are known to lay eggs in the osprey nests which are usually pretty lofty. The closest tree that housed an osprey nest fell over two years ago, so now the closest osprey/goose nest is clear down by Pete and Elli's place.

Have a great day. I have thirty jobs to finish off today and maybe will get time to take a load of garbage to the dump. The VSE is grading our roads this morning, so I'll stay put till they are done. Maybe they will pave them this year and make Elli's dream come true. She ,of course would like streetlights too...NA me!
Who is going to be axed from American Idol tonight? The redheaded crooner, I think. Elton John's songs were a challenge and a few of them came through but the rest sounded B-A-D!
Who wants Apple Pie for desert on Saturday?

I might as well call it Wednesday

WHere did these sunny days go? Oh yes, the car wouldn't start on Monday when I was supposed to meet J. down at A&W and also get my tax stuff sent away. SOme naughty person didn't quite close the car door ...last Thursday???? So I was a little teed off and a lot late. When I did get it started( after putting the recharger on the battery), I was afraid it was going to bite it while I was on the ferry, so I shut the car off a few times and restarted it just to make sure. By the time I mailed the tax stuff away and picked up some more silk flowers to make another of those wreaths, it was after 3:00...and the day was shot, so I took a run up to see J . at the farm. My , how the little lambs have grown. Unfortunately, the tiny one that M was nursing by bottle, died after it was switched to a different formula so there are only the two of them and they are very very very fluffy and have the cutest waggy tails!J made me tea and hot-cross buns and we did atour of her flower garden where she must have at least a thousand crocuses in full bloom...and even a little clump of mini irises... a beautiful show!

I ate the left over Penne for my dinner after I arrived home, then can't really recall what the heck I did before watching "The Sopranos" and answering email, then bed.( Oh yes, A phoned me to let me know they will for sure be coming on Saturday...Yippee)
Today was gorgeous out. I had all the doors wide open, heat off and I cleaned the house top to bottom with the exception of the windows. I'll do those tomorrow, and clean up the suite and perhaps bake something...I'll see. My little seedlings grew two inches taller over night. I already transplanted one little cucumber. At this rate I'll be picking cukes in a few weeks Ha-ha!
All of my ancient seeds appear to be growing which means that I need about three hundred pots filled with dirt and ready for the babies to graduate into...What am I getting myself into???
I chatted with L tonight and she mentioned that it was Miss Necy's birthday today...Happy Birthday D.!!! L will be off to visit them for Easter, in a couple of more days.
Silk and I took a great walk on the beach today, right down to the beginning of the exposed sandbar. The lake has to drop a another foot before one can walk right out, 2/3rds across the lake...People were out on the dsand bar today, but they arrived by canoe.
Our summer neighbours, Andy and Kath arrived today for Easter here, so it was good to see them again. We'll try to connect on Friday.

Andy and Kath

Okay here is a good night picture, as I am just muttering now...mutter,mutter,mutter...

Excellent Outdoorsy Week-end

The weather was close to perfect on Saturday for getting some of those outdoor projects completed before E had to leave town again. He was diligently taking off the lower branches of the big spruce in the garden by the time I arrived and we then tackled the huge pine. It had grown so much that the wire holding up the owl box was now grown into the limb that I had it tied to. Only the third such discovery this spring...a rope has also become imbedded in the willow tree, and the ID tag had become part of my Mayday tree...Thats what happens when a person is buried in construction for two years...You don't notice the trees growing...I'll have to try not to tie anything to a tree that I am not prepared to remove in a few months.
We trimmed off the tips and cleaned the dead twigs from the middle of the tree and then E. took off many of the lower limbs to clean it up.
Once a few more trees were dealt with, we headed to the beach with wheelbarrow, tractor& cart, shovels , rakes and muscle power. We spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up the sticks and branches and bark and plastic and crap that had washed up onto the beach over the winter. I raked and raked and at least have a decent swath cleaned next to the wharf where we usually swim.
With a huge pile of junk to burn, we decided to have our first beach bonfire of the season! E loaded upthe cooler with drinks, while I prepared some hot dogs and rounded up some buns and the fixins to have a weiner roast.Lets just say, the fire roared, the hotdogs tasted delicious and we felt like we were a million miles away having a camp-out!
Our Brit neighbours, A& D popped over later on and she brought her ghetto blaster to provide some music while we all enjoyed the fire, a few beer and lots of laughs and the clear full mooned night over the lake. One couldn't get it much more perfect than that. Truly a wonderful way to begin summer the right way!
Sunday wasn't quite as productive, however I still made it down to my garden and trimmed away three wheelbarrows full of debris and dandelions and weeds and junk. It is actually taking a little shape...Now to get it tilled up.
My "To -Do" list of last week is quickly coming to and end as I was able to tick off eight more accomplishments!
I am yawning to bits and getting more stiff in the fingers by the minute,so I think I'll take a Glucosomine and a calcium pill and a decongestent,as I feel like my ear is about to impload...g'night all I am off to bed

Sunday Night and the Moon is Bright!

Oh my, two days without blogging...do I work from Saturday forward or from now backward? Well, I think I'll work from now backwards and that way we can get right to the food portion. I'll share what I had for my late dinner tonight...derived from a recipe out of the little mag called Home Basics. The recipe is one from the kitchens at Knorr and this was a winner from 2002 called:
Penne and Shrimp Rosa Parma

Penne and Shrimp Parma -Rosa.

1/2 pound ( 250 grams) penne pasta
1 pkg Knorr Parma -Rosa Pasta Sauce Mix
1 1/2 cups of milk
1 tbsp butter or marg
2 tsp virgin olive oil
1/2 red pepper seeded and cut into thin strips
3/4 pound fresh shrimp peeled ( 375 grams)
1 clove garlic minced
salt and pepper to taste

Cook Pasta in boiling water according to directions; drain well.Meanwhile in a saucepan, combine sauce mix and milk and butter ( I heated up my spagetti sauce that I had taken out of the freezer) Stir constantly, bring to a boil, reduce heat, stir and cook for 4 minutes.
In a large skillet(12inches), heat olive oil ( I used butter) Add red ( or green) peppers and garlic . cook and stir for 2 to 3 minutes.
Season shrimp ( I had partially thawed out some previously frozen shrimp) with the salt and pepper, and add to skillet witht he garlic and peppers. Cook and stir until the shrimp turn pink, or are heated through if they were frozen. At this point I poured in some whipping cream, brought it to a boil, then added my spagetti sauce to it. If you are using the Parma -Rosa sauce, just add it to the shrimp and peppers. Add the drained pasta and toss all together. Serve witha a green vegetable and a salad and enjoy. This is very tasty.
